The single has not been released in the UK as yet, but might be when Minogue joins The X Factor in the UK as new judge alongside Cowell and Sharon Osbourne. Mutya Buena 'Strung Out'

One of the tracks from Mutya Buena's album Real Girl has leaked in HQ... this one being the fantastic Strung Out, a short clip of which has been streamed from her website in recent weeks. Real Girl is due out on June 4th, 2007, with single Real Girl on May 14th, and will also feature the 00/80's anthem Out Of Control written with Groove Armada and Mutya's George Michael duet This Is Not Real Love.

1. Strung Out
2. Real Girl

3. Out Of Control

Kylie Minogue 'Trippin' Me Up'

This track leaked in medium-quality on 6th June 2006 alongside another Minogue track called I'm Sorry, both culled from the 2003 Body Language sessions. Six months later Trippin' Me Up leaked in HQ and was quickly followed on Decemebr 19th by a number of alternate versions seemingly from the same In-House CD. Written by Minogue, Pascal Gabriel and Paul Stratham, who had also written Your Love and Tightrope for the Fever album, this track quickly became a fan favourite.

1. Trippin' Me Up (HQ)
2. Trippin' Me Up (1st Demo version)
3. Trippin' Me Up (Aoustic version)
4. Trippin' Me Up (Acoustic version - Down)
5. Trippin' Me Up (Breakbeat test mix #1)

Nelly Furtado 'All Good Things...' remixes

Nelly Furtado will release All Good Things (Come To An End) as the fourth single from Loose in the US this month. Already a massive hit in Europe, hitting number 1 in most countries there, it offers a downbeat, almost acoustic Furtado creating a dichotomy hit against previous electro singles Maneater, Promiscuous and Say It Right.

All Good Things (Come To An End) (Single remix)
All Good Things (Come To An End) (Instrumental)
All Good Things (Come To An End) (Dave Aude remix)
All Good Things (Come To An End) (Dave Aude radio edit)
All Good Things (Come To An End) (Kascade remix)
All Good Things (Come To An End) (Kaskade radio edit)

Gwen Stefani '4 In The Morning' remixes

And again, one of my favourite songs from a recent album, this time being 4 In The Morning from Gwen Stefani's difficult second album The Sweet Escape, which has been given the remix treatment by none other than the always fabulous Stuart Price (ie. him that did Madonna's album). Due out in late June, I'm sure this will be a big Moda hit (AUNTIE are you listening?). The rumoured tracklist was supposed to include b-side Candyland, of which a fan made version has circulated online, the tracklist has now been confirmed as having a live version of Wind It Up as a b-side. I wish Gwen would stop that!!!!! We want some new tunes!

Edit: Post now includes today's 4ITM remix leaks and an utterly brilliant WIU pop/dance remix.

1. 4 In The Morning (Radio edit)

2. 4 In the Morning (Jaques Lu Cont Thin White Duke mix)
3. 4 In The Morning (Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duke dub)
4. 4 In The Morning (Jaques Lu Cont Thin White Duke edit)

5. Wind It Up (Robots To Mars remix)

Kosheen 'Overkill (Is It Over Now?)'

Overkill is the brand new single from trip-hop guitar band Kosheen, their first single since 2003's Kokopelli album. Taken from their upcoming third album Damage.

Rehab (feat Pharoahe Monch)
Rehab (Desert Eagle Discs vocal mix)
Rehab (Hot Chip vocal mix)

Infernal 'I Won't Be Crying'

Third UK single from Scandinavian dance hit duo, hot dancefloor power anthem I Won't Be Crying is due for release on May 21st (my birthday!). The video for this single is on high rotation on music channels and looks sure to be a hit following previous singles Self Control and From Paris To Berlin.

1. I Won't Be Crying
2. I Won't Be Crying (Extended)
3. I Won't Be Crying (Beatfreakz remix)

Ash 'You Can't Have It All'

The Irish threesome with the amazing sense of melody, Ash, return with their sixth album Twilight Of The Innocents, and is headed by returning to form single You Can't Have It All, which sounds like vintage Ash. I thought it would be interesting to see how the departure of guitarist Charlotte Hatherley would affect the band's sound; it seems like they've decided to move away from their hard edge they took with 2004's Meltdown album.

1. You Can't Have It All
2. Burn Baby Burn (Acoustic)

Nelly Furtado 'Say It Right' remixes

Small reminder of Nelly Furtado's Say It Right, a US Billboard #1 single, and also the only UK Top Ten to never have been released in a physical format (so far). Inspired by the recent reggae style remixes that have recently circulated.

1. Say It Right (Instrumental)
2. Say It Right
(Extended)
3. Say It Right (feat Jay Vega)
4. Say It Right (Reggae mix)
5. Say It Right
(Reggae drop mix)

Tori Amos 'Big Wheel'

New single from Tori Amos, from upcoming American Doll Posse album.

Big Wheel

Thursday, 19 April 2007

Marilyn Manson 'Heart Shaped Glasses'

The brand new electro-rock single from Brian Warner and co... from his upcoming album Eat Me, Drink Me. Sounds a bit retro... a slight after taste of the Mechanical Animals sound is tangible on occasion, but also sounds contemporary.

Heart Shaped Glasses (When The Heart Guides The Hand)

Andrea Corr 'Hello Boys'

Leaked from sessions for Andrea Corr's upcoming debut album Teen Feet High, is Hello Boys which sees her rescind everything Corrs-like about her and go for an electro-Rachel Stevens-meets-Garbage-b-side sound. This track is the opener from the album, which is due out in June, preceded by single 24 Hours and is produced by Nellee Hooper, notable for his production work with Garbage, Gwen Stefani, Bjork, U2 and Madonna, and for the soundtrack to Baz Luhrman's Romeo + Juliet.

Hello Boys

Rihanna feat Jay-Z 'Umbrella'

I wasn't, to be honest, that much of a fan of her stuff last year. Unfaithful dragged for ages, and SOS had really weak production which for me ruined the song, otherwise I'd have been on her bandwagon a long time ago. You should by now know my feelings for Umbrella. I fucking love it. It deserves to be HUGE (lovin' the Zombie-like 'eh eh oh oh' singing).
Also just recently leaked Hate That I Love You which features Ne-Yo and is also from her J new album Good Girl Gone Bad due for release in June. I'm re-uploading these cause previous links expired, and of course, cause I love it and want it to get as much exposure as possible.

1. Umbrella (Radio edit)
2. Umbrella (Radio edit feat Jay-Z)

3. Umbrella (Instrumental)

4. Umbrella (Extended version)

5. Hate That I Love You (feat Ne-Yo)

Lumidee 'She's Like The Wind'

New single from r'n'b mistress Lumidee, a cover of Patrick Swayze's Dirty Dancing hit She's Like The Wind. Currently riding high in the US Charts, sure to go far over here soon.

She's Like The Wind (feat Tony Sunshine)

Melanie C B-sides

Notes:
Ga Ga also featured on the Northern Star album, as well as the Big Daddy OST,
Can't Stay Tonight was leaked a few years ago,
Independence Day was on the Bend It Like Beckham OST,
and First Day Of My Life, a multi- European #1 single, was never released in the UK which is why it is included here....

The Killers 'For Reasons Unknown'

The next single from the unit-shifting Sam's Town will be For Reasons Unknown, and will be released in the UK in June. Both previous singles Bones and Read My Mind, despite being huge radio hits, failed to go Top 10 in the UK.. probably because everyone and their dog bougth the album when it came out; a phenomenon currently also affecting the Scissor Sisters Ta-Dah! singles. Lets see if this tune change that....

1. For Reasons Unknown

2. Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars Are Blazing mix)
3. Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys radio edit)
4. When You Were Young (Freeform 5 remix)
5. When You Were Young (Jacques Lu Cont TWD mix)

6. Mr. Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont TWD mix)

7. Mr. Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont TWD radio edit)

Fun Lovin' Criminals feat Shirley Manson 'Korean Bodega'

In anticipation of Shirley Manson's upcoming debut solo album, I am posting a collaboration between Fun Lovin' Criminals and Garbage from 1999. This remix features Shirley Manson on guest vocals. Also posted the Fun Lovin' Criminals returning the favour by jazzing up Garbage's single You Look So Fine which features a competely new husky vocal from Shirley.

1. Korean Bodega (Aero Mexicana remix)
2. Korean Bodega (Aero Mexicana remix - clean version)

3. You Look So Fine (Fun Lovin' Criminals version)

Shirley has been working with David Arnold, Greg Kurtsin, Beck, Paul Buchanan, Billy Corgan and Jack White on her debut album which is due out at the end of the summer.

Lily Allen B-sides

Nelly Furtado 'Maneater (Alternate version)'

Picked this up today, thought I'd post it. I'm not too sure if this is official or if soemone has been highly bored and rearranged the track to show iff. I quite like it, it seems to work, it's less boom boom boom and more nyet nyet nyet...........(lol)

Maneater (Alternate version)

The Veronicas 'When It All Falls Apart'

These girls will be continually promoted by their UK fans, Aunty Steven and myself, until they head to these shores and release their record and play a gig!!!!!! This single has been on UK single release listings for at least 6 months, and deserves a release - their album is a pop hybrid of Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Ashlee Simpson... with added pink ribbons.

1. When It All Falls Apart
2. We're Not Gonna Take It

3. When It All Falls Apart (Lost In Space mix)

4. 4 Ever (Pink Noise remix)

5. Everything I'm Not (Claude Le Gache remix)

PS if you have ever fucked everything up in a relationship, any relationship, then When It All Falls Apart is for you. In fact if this happened recently you might be heartbroken again after listening. I'm still getting goosebumps and it's been over a month for me.

Amy Winehouse 'Back To Black'

Third single from the UK's biggest selling female solo artist this year, and there seem to be no stopping her is there? Despite not quite as catchy as previous efforts, this doom laden tune is sure to a big hit these shores. The B-side Valerie I've already bigged up previously, and this track will also be on producer Mark Ronson's sophomore album Version which came out this week. Originally by The Zutons, this track has been given the sixties girl group treatment by Ronson.

1. Back To Black
2. Valerie

3. Back To Black (The Rumble Strips remix)
4. Back To Black (Steve Mac vocal mix)

5. Back To Black (Mushtaq vocal mix)

Kylie Minogue: 2007 Demos

Both of these demos leaked in March 2007, and with a multitude of controversy surrounding them. The first leak Excuse My French was originally incorrectly being labelled as Kylie's new comeback single. The truth was - it wasn't. It was also labelled as new Kylie material, which indeed it is but this was to later be denied by Parlophone in a blind panic following the discovery of the tracks leak. Within no time Parlophone were informed of the leak as was Kylie's management team Terry Blamey Management. In a panic at the leakage of this new material they informed all parties questioning the song that it was actually an "Old demo" and that in fact it wasn't Kylie singing. They claimed it was a session singer used to sound like Kylie for demo purposes. This process is where a demo is recorded with a session singer recorded to sound like the intended artist so the song can be presented to the artist and record label so they can gauge an idea of how the finished product could sound if the intended artist recorded it. Now, whilst this session singer sound-a-like process is actually common practice in the demo process of big artists in this instance it is not the case. Parlophone then went on an all out mission to try and convince fans that what they were actually hearing on Excuse My French was actually not Kylie and an old demo. This of course was to throw fans off the scent and prevent more downloads. This, of course, does not really work with fans as, be it old or new material, a newly leaked track is the talk of the fan base and will be widely downloaded regardless of what is said. A day after the leakage of Excuse My French came another leak in the form of clip of a song entitled When The Cat's Away. The same, as described above applies to this song however the vocals on When The Cat's Away are a session singer used to replicate Kylie's vocal style. The full version of When The Cat's Away eventually leaked three weeks later. Either way, both tunes are brilliant and even as demos are better than a lot of other pop princesses best tunes.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor 'Me & My Imagination' remixes

Two new remixes of Me And My Imagination leaked today, and I must admit, I prefer them both to the album version...... Trip The Light Fantastic is out on May 21st.

P!nk 'Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)'

Already out here in the UKthe UK too., and due out worldwide at the start of May, Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) is the fifth single from Pink's I'm Not Dead album (I just bought the Australain tour edition of this record with a bonus DVD you should check it out!).
P!nk's I'm Not Dead Live at Wembley DVD was released today too.
Also, U + Ur Hand is at #14 in the US Hot 100 chart and should rise this week, thanks to an appearance on the Ellen show and fans are organising a buy U + Ur Hand day on iTunes. If you're in the USA reading this help out Ms Moore into the Top Ten by visiting iTunes and picking up a copy!
Who Knew will be re-issued in the US in June.

1. Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)
2. Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) (Digital Dogs edit)

3. Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) (Digital Dogs dub)

Also I have uploaded Pink's b-sides for some people who requested them....

1. Free
2. Delerium
3. Heartbreaker
4. Disconnected

5. Crash & Burn

6. Words

7. Tell Me Something Good

(Happy Feet OST)
8. Centerfold

(I'm Not Dead UK bonus track)

and finally, two utterly brilliant club remixes:

1. Who Knew (Bimbo Jones explicit remix)
2. U + Ur Hand (Bimbo Jones explicit remix)

Maroon 5 'Makes Me Wonder'

Brand new single from This Love singers Maroon 5, it's a little bit different for them but is pure summer pop as you would expect. Due out on May 14th with album to follow a week later.

Makes Me Wonder (Radio version)

Eric Prydz Vs Madonna 'Papa Don't Preach'

Possibly gonna be the Prydz next big single, I picked this up on a remix blog recently, thought I'd share it..... Papa Don't Preach

The Bravery 'Time Won't Let Me Go'

Am I the only one thinking that The Bravery have suddenly turned into the Oasis circa 1995 with Bono on lead vox? Either way, it worked and I'm really into this new tune due out end of May in the UK. I do miss their Sonic The Hedgehog style tunes fromt heir last album, but hey, I can get that from Timbaland just now so my fix is satiated.

1. Time Won't Let Me Go (Radio edit)

Justin Timberlake 'Summer Love'

I FUCKING LOVE THIS!!!!! I think it's the best song off JT's album, all slinky smooth and sexie. Came out in the US today, and is due out at the start of June over here, I'm really happy that they have chosen this song after two rather boring (IMHO) songs. Also here is a leaked song Guess What featuring Bubba Sparxx which appeared at the weekend.

1. Summer Love (Radio Edit)
2. Guess What

Melanie C 'Carolyna'

I really think Melanie shoulda started her album off with this song, a feel good Summertime song, instead of I Want Candy, but alas..she's releasing it as her second single. Definetly deserves to go top 10, although the Spice Girls recent track record suggests it will struggle. Due out June 11th.

Carolyna

Kelly Clarkson 'Never Again' Update: HQ

Kelly Clarkson's new single Never Again from her brand new album My December, I now have a HQ version
Never Again (HQ)

and already a remix has leaked in HQ:
Never Again (Dave Aude remix)

The single is slated for physical release in May, with the album to follow in late Summer.

Nelly Furtado 'In God's Hands'

Ms Furtado's next UK single will be In God's Hands. Possibly the final single to released from Loose, there has been rumours Do It will be issued in America once All Good Things has done it's business.

1. In God's Hands (Radio edit)
2. Runaway
3. I Am (leaked song)
4. All Good Things (Instrumental)

Tuesday, 10 April 2007

Sophie Ellis-Bextor 'Me And My Imagination'

Brand new single from Ms Ellis-Bextor. This track actually leaked waaaaay back in january, alongside the rest of the tracks on the album sampler. The album, Trip The Light Fantastic, is available on May 21st (my birthday) and features collaborations with Cathy Dennis, Greg Kurtsin, Xenomania and Hannah Robinson.

1. Me And My Imagination

The tracks below are from the new album's various samplers, promo compilations and B-sides - note that other than Catch You, some of these won't be on the finished album, or even these mixes. I'm digging that the guy who wrote and produced Catch You is working with Shirley Manson on her solo album. New York City Lights is a definite single, and If You Go is one of the most fresh, original and inspired tracks Xenomania have co-written and produced in years.

1. Catch You
2. Today The Sun's On Us
3. Down With Love
4. Colour Me In
5. Dear Jimmy
6. New York City Lights
7. If You Go

Happy Birthday to Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who turned 28 on April 10th, 2007 (today).

Mutya Buena 'Real Girl'

I adore this song!!!!!!!! I am so looking forward to the ex-Sugababe's new album, I love the previously mentioned Out Of Control, and the new song Strung Out (streaming via her website) and the Pulp-meets-Lily Allen-tinged new single Real Girl. Which is currently leaking onto P2P as we speak.

Mutya Buena - Real Girl
Mutya Buena & Groove Armada - Out Of Control (Song 4 Mutya)

And when I say leaking, as in, it's just appeared on the net in the last thirty minutes. The promo video is also on youtube as of today too ---> click here
Mutya's album is due out June 4th, the single is due out May 18th (did I mention that both her and myself share a birthday - May 21st).

GARBAGE US radio interviews

April 1996
Garbage promote their album with a 90 minute studio show and live interview at Capitol Recording studios for Modern Rock Live.

Queer / Trip My Wire / Stupid Girl & Kick My Ass /
Only Happy When It Rains & Milk / Girl Don't Come / Outro

October 1998
Legendary New York DJ Howard Stern interviews Shirley Manson & Garbage for 40 mins on subjects as diverse as circumcision, lesbianism, anal sex, Courtney Love, red pubic hair, Shirley's Ten Commandments of Sex, peeing, sniffing glue, Shirley's father's genitals, self-harming, Sir-Shag-A-Lot, the Spice Girls, roadie masturbation, orgasms and head injuries to promote the Special single and Version 2.0 album, and they also perform #1 Crush from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. Fucking hilarious!

Part One (w/Special) / Part Two (w/#1 Crush - acoustic version)

" I'd go down on you ... if you asked me too ... cause I believe in you ... I would die for you ..."

Siobhan Donaghy 'So You Say'

New single from the ex-Sugababe, and the second single from her Ghosts album.

So You Say

Manic Street Preachers 'Your Love Alone'

This track might actually be my new favourite Manics song, and the addition of both The Cradigan's Nina Persson and backing vocals from Nicky Wire make it tuly sublime. Check the battle of the bands style video too. It precedes the album Send Away The Tigers which is out May 7th. Also included is Underdogs, the free single downloadable from Manics.co.uk

Bjork 'Earth Intruders'

Every time Bjork releases an album the entire world likes to listen out for it in a kind of what-is-she-doing-now-car-crash-but-can't-not-look kinda way. Even if you don't like Bjork you gotta admire that girls balls. This Timbaland-produced song sounds like Nine Inch Nails covering Maneater. I kid you not.

Earth Intruders

Dolores O'Riordan 'Ordinary Girl'

Debut solo single from the Cranberries lead singer. I used to cringe at her overly-Oirish delivery ('therrs a bomb, git owt frem undRR youRR seat nigh') but I really really like this song, I'm quite surprised. Strummy guitar pop which Melanie C and Natalie Imbruglia should strive to make.

Ordinary Girl

(PS Am I the only one who thinks she looks like Shirley on this picture?)

Freeform 5 'No More Conversation'

I saw this on The Box today, the video looks like the inside of an albino Rubik's Cube.
Seemingly, the first came to prominence doing mixes for Mylo, Justin Timberlake and The Killers, and this electro single which first came out in 2005 has been reworked, given a wee bit of Hed Kandi promo and is out May.

1. No More Conversation
2. No More Conversation (Mylo remix)
(Appears on the new compilation 'Electrified: The Sound of Electro-House')

Stefy 'Chelsea'

Still bigging up this Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This-sampling tune, which has suffered a non promotion release this week in the UK, and I'm re-adding it here alongside this new Chris Cox club mix I found on P2P.

Chelsea (LP Version) / (Chris Cox remix)

Kish Mauve 'Modern Love'

I fucking love this.
It's like The Bravery and Speedway joined together and got vibey. This was first release last September, and is get re-issued at the start of the summer. Also uploaded the b-side I'm In Love With A German Filmstar which sounds like Neon Nights-era Dannii Minogue mixed with The Cardigans.

1. Modern Love
2. I'm In Love With A German Filmstar

Sunblock 'Baby Baby'

The guys who brought us that danced up version of the Baywatch theme last year return this spring with an awesome cover of Corona's 1995 hit 'Baby Baby'... which I might still have on single somewhere.......

Sunblock - Baby Baby

Sunday, 8 April 2007

P Diddy & Keyshia Cole 'Last Night'

The single version of this song from the Diddy, I missed this upon release, but I caught the video today and liked it enough to post it again. Sounds like a 80's Sega game. (I really go for that sound)

Last Night

Beyonce & Shakira 'Beautiful Liar' remixes

This mix might actually be better than the mixes Freemasons did for Deja Vu & Ring The Alarm - simply stunning. In fact I find it better than the LP version of this song, which sounds like the background music in an Indiana Jones shopping in an Arab market scene.

1. LP Version
2. Freemasons club mix
3. Freemasons radio edit

Paris Hilton 'Nothing In This World'

I remember the day I decided I liked Paris Hilton. It was quite possibly in Moda one evening with Colin and Johan dancing to Stars Are Blind after about six Sexi Mexis and my hair was looking great.

Also, to quote Shirley Manson's blog, think about this:
"I couldn't stand the mention of her name until just this week, when the penny dropped and a lightbulb flashed and all of a sudden my brain was repeating and repeating "I like Paris Hilton. She's a no good, trashy slut." I like the fact that she's simply taking advantage of what is essentially a hideously corrupt system and making it work for her to a ridiculously successful degree by being a sly, manipulative sexual foreplayer. The fact that she also happens to be a poor little rich girl is even funnier, adding insult to injury to the hypocritical nonsense that purports we were all born equal. No sir, unfortunately we were NOT all born equal and the system in place ensures that we remain that way. Those who do not have are discrimminated against and those who have, get more.At least Paris is being honest about it and that's why she's my girl of the week because if there is one thing in this world we do not have enough of,it is people who are willing to illuminate the truth.Paris embodies the world we are living in.Straight up."

1. Nothing In This World (Dave Aude club mix)
2. Nothing In This World (Jason Nevins remix)
3. Stars Are Blind (Tracey Does Paris remix)

Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend

As much as I try to hate Girlfriend, well done to Lavigne for having her biggest ever hit with this actually brilliant song. She's actually recorded the song, with the chorus in different languages, but has been criticized for having a bad accent!

1. LP Version
2. French version
3. Instrumental

The song is currently at #2 in the UK charts, and debuted at #5 in the US Hot 100, her highest position and highest debut respectively.
